My name is Miss Ford and I teach St. George's class and our teaching assistant is Mrs Valentine who supports the class with me.
We have PE on a Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. The children will come to school in their uniform and they will change into their PE kit which is a black pair of shorts and the green St Joseph’s t-shirt. PE kits will stay within school and they will be sent home at the end of each term.
Your child will have dedicated reading days but please try to keep your child's reading books in their bookbag every day.
Homework is given out on a Friday. Please return the homework on a Wednesday. Homework will alternate between Maths and English.
Please can you support your child at home and encourage them to discuss their learning.
Miss Ford and Mrs Cullen.
What have been learning?
The children have started to learn about the UK and the capital cities. We are making a 3D map about each capital city over the next few weeks. We will be writing an information leaflet at the end of this topic.
The children are enjoying using practical resources in maths lessons. This has helped to embed their knowledge and understanding of place value.
This half term we are learning about invasion games and focussing on throwing and catching.
