School Council
A school council is a formal group of pupils who act as representatives of their classmates in discussing school issues with the senior leadership team and staff. It’s a brilliant way of representing and contributing to Pupil Voice in your school.
Our School Councillors were elected in the Autumn Term by their classmates.
Our School Council meets each half term. They have the opportunity to share their feelings and opinions about things that affect them. The children also work on small projects to help make the school a better place. The children help build the way the curriculum is delivered and have focused on projects such as anti-bullying, attendance and creating new events and putting forward suggestions for our learning and curriculum.
Our School Representatives
There are 3 School Representatives for year 2 and 2 representatives for each KS2 class. The Y6 school councillors are mentors for the Y2 councillor and help to guide them in their work.
Our Teacher Representative is Mr Farmer who works with the children and invites guest attendees such as representatives from FOSJ, subject leaders, members of the catering team.
Each year the council reflects on their success and provides actions points for the next school council, which provides continuity.
