At St Joseph’s, we are real times tables rockstars! We use TT Rockstars to promote a love of learning through exciting challenges and competitions

Competitions

Each week, a competition takes place in LKS2 and in UPKS2 to earn the title of times tables champion of the week. In each competition, the top class gets 5 min extra golden time and the top three children get a certificate to show what rockstars they are. In addition, we have a special certificate for the most improved player of the week to celebrate determination and resilience.

How can you access this at home? 

Children in Year 2 will be able to access TT Rockstars from the Spring term in preparation for competitions in KS2.  We encourage all children from Year 2 to Year 6 to practise on the app as much as possible (within home screen time limit). To help with this, Mr Leggett and Miss Martin lead a times tables lunchtime club: Thursday for LKS2 and Friday for UPKS2.  Keep your eyes peeled for future extra competitions, which could involve other schools or even every school in the country!  Teachers will provide children with their username and password. If your child loses them, please contact the class teacher.
