We are incredibly proud of all the wonderful Year 6 children from St Margaret's, St Bernadette's and St Therese's class for their phenomenal hard work during SATs week. We celebrated on Friday with afternoon treats and receiving the '2024 Leavers' hoodies.

At St Joseph's, week commencing 20th May 2024 is known as 'Health and Well-Being Week'. The Monday began with Courtney (former champion boxer) visiting the school. He gave a whole school assembly and we were a lucky class to even have a workshop based on resilience and team work!

Multi-faith week was fabulous. In Year 5 and 6, we explored the religion 'Sikhism' through RE, Geography, English and Art! One of our favourite parts involved creating our own 'Diyas', which are used during their festivals.

'Love For Reading' opportunities are always exciting in St Margaret's and we were thrilled to receive a wide range of new books for our class library...

Maths learning has taken a new and exciting turn with a trip to explore our mathematical skills in nature...

Design technology learning is a class favourite, especially this year. As part of one  project we made cornbread (linked to our South Africa biomes) and we made savoury crepes (linked to our Paris study)...

Geography learning is a wonderful opportunity for the children to understand the world around them. We've thoroughly enjoyed supporting our understanding using an atlas...

History learning is always a fascinating experience, and even better when a visitor comes to school to share a wealth of knowledge...

Art learning is a great way for the children to be expressive and creative. The children loved exploring 'Pop Art'. Take a look at some of their wonderful creations...

Science learning is thoroughly enjoyed from conductivity to solubility to sound and to so much more...

At the beginning of the year, St Margaret's decided to raise money for the charity 'Make A Wish Foundation'.

As a class, they raised over £1000 through a sponsored run and enjoyed presenting their donations in an assembly.

What an achievement!

In February, Year 6 had the most wonderful experience at Ingleborough Hall. Memories to last a lifetime!

In St Margaret's, we love designing our own collective worships and sharing them with our peers.
